Pattern
Increase Rows:
ch4 and join with a slip stitch.
ch4 (counts as 1dc and ch1) 3dc, ch1, 1dc in ring, ch4 and turn.
3dc in first ch1 sp, 3dc, ch1, 1dc in last space, ch4 and turn.
3dc in first ch1 sp, 3dc in next space(s), 3dc, ch1 1dc in last space, ch4 turn.
Repeat last row to desired width.
Decrease Rows:
skip 1st sp, 3dc in next space(s), ch1 and dc in last space, ch4 turn.
repeat until there is one shell left.
1dc in last sp.
Block if so desired.
Add A border To Your Diagonal Granny Square
Tie on new color in any ch4 space on the outside border, and pull up a loop. Ch3, 2dc in same space, 3dc in each ch4 space to corner, in each corner 3dc ch1 3dc, work around square to end, join with a sl st.
